Text Box: My first experience of a Brondel guitar was at Schoenberg in Tiburon, California. A gorgeous A-2c model, which is approximately OM size, with an Adirondack top and figured mahogany back and sides. I later came back to this guitar for a few visits and was taken by it that I picked it up.

This guitar has enormous power an projection, combined with great clarity and note separation. Although mahogany is often pigeon-holed as dry and fundamental focused, this guitar has a very complex and pleasing voice and is fantastic for my playing style. This is Laurent’s “Essential” guitar, which leaves out some of the fancier detail work but retains all the great tone.
